[Yoav Fortress, Israel, August 17] The Givati Brigade Association Launches Givati
Drone Center to improve battlefield readiness and help save soldiers’ lives.
This groundbreaking center will revolutionize drone training, maintenance, and
innovation.
The Givati Brigade Association (GBA) is proud to announce a major new initiative: the
establishment of Givati Drone Center, a comprehensive operational and technological hub
designed to strengthen battlefield readiness, accelerate innovation, and dramatically
reduce casualties among Israeli soldiers through advanced drone capabilities. Based on
the operational needs identified through extensive consultations with active-duty and
reserve field commanders, including leaders of drone units, this initiative addresses some
of the most urgent challenges facing modern combat forces today.
The Givati Drone Center will serve as a first-of-its-kind hub combining tactical training,
rapid maintenance, technological development and knowledge integration under one roof.
As drones become increasingly central to reconnaissance, surveillance, logistics, and
combat operations, the center is designed to ensure soldiers and commanders have the
tools, expertise, and support necessary to maintain a decisive operational advantage.
The Center is housed in the Yoav Fortress, a unique building that dates back to the British
Mandate and serves as the headquarters of GBA.
For this enterprise GBA partnered with StemUp , a non-profit organization that will help to
create the training programs with truly first-of-its-kind capability and expertise in the field.
The core components of Givati Drone Center include: (1) Specialized Training Programs;
(2) Dedicated Drone Maintenance Laboratory; (3) Logistics & 3D Printing for Drone
Enhancement; (4) Advanced Simulator Training; (5) Central Knowledge & Data Repository
“This initiative is about giving our soldiers better eyes in the sky, faster operational
response, and smarter battlefield tools,” Itzhak Levit, Chairman of the Givati Brigade
Association stated. “Most importantly, it is about saving lives.”
